New WFISD Policy: Press Pass Now Required for Sideline & Press Box Access at Sporting Events
Beginning this season, Wichita Falls Independent School District (WFISD) athletics will require anyone wishing to be on the sidelines or in the press box at a WFISD sporting event to have a press pass. Here’s a summary of the key guidelines:
Press Pass Requirement: Only media outlets can obtain press credentials.
Camera Usage: Anyone on the sideline with a camera must have an official WFISD Athletics-Media credential.
Access Rules: WFISD reserves the right to revoke sideline or press box privileges at any time. Media credentials must be visible, and media members must avoid restricted areas and refrain from communicating with players, coaches, and officials.
Safety and Conduct: Approved media must pay attention to the athletes and avoid using flash photography.
Pass Requests: Passes must be requested via the WFISD Athletic website by 5 PM the day before the game. Passes can be picked up at the office on the southwest side of the locker rooms at JGF after 5 PM.
Return of Passes: Unless you have a season credential, passes should be returned to the office after the game.
